How do you obtain a copy of your property deed (warranty deed) when you purchase a home in Johns Creek, Alpharetta, or any other city in Fulton County, GA? The process is simple, once you have attended your closing, and signed all the purchase documents, the closing attorney will provide you with an “unrecorded” copy of your property deed. Immediately after closing, the attorney sends the deed to the County to be recorded. Once recorded, the County mails a copy of the recorded deed to you. Fulton County is notorious for being slow, so it may take several weeks before you receive the deed in the mail.
